TAEL Electronics and Appliances is a trading name of The Andersons Enterprises Labels Ltd, a company registered in Kenya.
The Andersons Enterprises Labels Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, and is registered as a data controller with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) of Kenya.

Everywhere else on this page, “we”, “us” and “our” mean TAEL Electronics and Appliances.
This policy explains what we do with your personal information, and it is written to meet our obligations under the Data Protection Act, 2019.
What we collect
When you contact us or buy from us:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address, if you email us
- A delivery address, if we are delivering to you
- A record of what you bought and when We do not collect payment card details. There is no online checkout on this website. You pay us directly, by the method we agree when you order. When you visit the website:
- Your IP address
- Your browser and device type
- The pages you looked at and how long you stayed
- The site or advert that brought you here
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
The Act requires us to have a lawful basis for using your information. Ours are:

We do not send marketing messages to people who have not asked for them.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where we need to:
- Google — we use Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Tag Manager to understand how the website is used and to advertise. These set cookies and receive website usage data. They are controlled by the cookie banner.
- Cloudflare — provides security and speeds up the website. It processes visitor connection data.
- Our website host — stores the website and any enquiry you send through it.
- Anyone helping deliver your appliance, where delivery has been arranged — they get your name, phone number and address, and nothing else.
- Kenya Revenue Authority or another authority, where the law requires it.
Information leaving Kenya
Some of the providers above process data outside Kenya. Google and Cloudflare operate internationally, so website usage data may be handled on servers in other countries.
We rely on those providers’ own data protection commitments for these transfers. If you would rather your browsing was not shared with Google, you can decline analytics and advertising cookies in the cookie banner, and the rest of the website will still work normally.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a sale — up to 12 months, then deleted
- Sales records — 7 years, because tax law requires us to keep them
- Website usage data — as set by Google Analytics’ own retention settings
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including running the website over a secure (HTTPS) connection and limiting who in the business can see customer records. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your details as we would want ours treated.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act 2019 you have the right to:
- Be told how your personal information is being used — that is what this page is for
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Have it corrected if it is wrong or misleading
- Have it deleted, where we have no continuing reason or legal duty to keep it
- Object to us using it, including for advertising
- Ask us to restrict how we use it while a question about it is being resolved

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please tell us first — we would rather fix it.
You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC), the authority responsible for data protection in Kenya. Their complaint process and current contact details are at www.odpc.go.ke.
Children
This website is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information about children. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
