The Rebune 50×50 standing cooker gives you three gas burners and an electric hotplate on a stainless steel top, mounted on a frame with two shelves underneath. It is one of the most affordable cookers in the shop, and the honest reason is simple: there is no oven. If you cook on the hob and do not bake, you are not paying for one.

Gas and Electric on the Same Top

Three burners run on gas and the fourth position is a solid electric hotplate. That is the useful part of this model: when the cylinder runs dry in the middle of cooking, you plug in and keep going instead of stopping to look for a refill.

The Hotplate Needs a Socket

The hotplate runs on mains power and the cooker comes with a normal three-pin plug, so it needs a wall socket within reach. The three gas burners work on their own with no power at all, which is what you fall back on when the electricity goes.

The Shelves Are the Point

Two shelves sit under the hob. The lower one takes the gas cylinder, keeping it upright and off the floor. The upper one holds the pots and pans you reach for while cooking, so a small kitchen stays clear.
